| ROCKY BALBOA is BACK!
"You know, I heard they're making a Rocky 6."
"Bullshit."
"No dude. For real."
Sounds impossible. Sly is too old. Too slow. No way. I was thinking all of these things, until I went to see Pirates of the Carribean (which broke the world record for best grossing opening weekend at the box office, making a record 132 million dollars in just 3 days) and saw the official theatrical trailer for Rocky 6. No lie.
THEN

NOW

See for yourself, and let the nostalgia rush over you like hot sangria.
TRAILER
Also, the first track of the official "Snakes of a Plane" Soundtrack has been released that has a music video in which Samuel L. Jackson makes a cameo appearance.

At first listen of this song, I thought it was lame, teeny bopperish, and totally mindless music. Then i watched it ... again. And again. And again. Now I cant stop humming this tune, its been stuck in my head for 3 bloody days now. Its really catchy.

| Its been a while since my last post. A couple of updates. I'm currently
in North Carolina for the summer visiting my high school friends,
Nathan and Jordan. Got a transfer with Blockbuster, so I'm working up
here now. I'll be back in Orlando July 27th or so - and when the
semester starts - I'll be starting the film program at UCF. In addition
to this, Dottie will be joining me in Orlando - coming to UCF to pursue
her Graduate degree.
Alright all that stuff out of
the way...heres some new stuff.
The Matador - Great movie with Pierce Brosnan. He's
a hitman whos lost his edge and makes friends with Greg Keneer. The
movie is hilarious, with a pretty cool storyline. Brosnan is old, which
is odd, but he definetely still retains his charm to be a swave,
debenaire badass.
 The
Libertine - A movie with Johnny Depp, where he plays the second earl of
rodchester back in...the olden days. The opening of the film starts him
off saying "I dont want you to like me." and he resumes to go on and
make a really offensive play about sex and drug,s or something. I
havent watched it yet - but it looks pretty good.

Kiss
Kiss Bang Bang - This movie is AWESOME. Its got Val Kilmer as "Gay
Perry" a private eye, who teaches *SUPRISE* criminal and theif, Rober
Downey Jr. how to be a private eye for a film roll. The girl in the
movie is Tom Cruises wife from MI:III. Its funny, quick, witty and
suprising. A finger gets cut off, people get shot, a dead body gets
pee'd on, downey jr gets his ass kicked and more general choas occurs.
Its really fast paced, and is....well really
cool.

Play
it to the Bone - An old movie where (get this) Woody Harrelson and
Antonio Bandera's (who's gay in the movie) Box. Yeah you heard me. They
fight eachother in a middleweight bout in Las Vegas. The movie is
strangely nostalgic. Its old, but its just as witty and clever as a
movie would be out today. Probably even more so. The chemistry between
Woody and Antonio is really funny - and the boxing footage is
fantastic. The end is a bit of a let down - but it has side appearances
with Lucy Lui, Tom Siezemore, Kevin Costner, Wesley Snipes, James
Woods, Rick James, George Foreman and lastly, Mike
Tyson.

MI:III
- Old news I guess...but Mission Impossible 3 is amazing. Its probably
the best action movie I've seen all year. Tom Cruise and Phillip Semore
Hoffman do FANTASTIC work. The movie is fast paced, full of suprises,
and very intertaining. The action is crazy intense and the scene with
him flying sideways into that minivan and all the glass shatters -
ridiculous.

Tenacious
D's movie "Pick of Destiny" is coming out in a November....and I cant
wait. Being a Tenacious D fan, you know how hungry fans are for new
material. I saw Jack Black in Nacho Libre and...well wait lemme do
this.

Nacho
Libre - This movie is exactly like Napoleon Dynamite (same director - I
know) but I dont consider this a good thing. I didnt like Napoleon...so
this movie kinda suffered. Its got two things going for it. Jack Black,
and memorable lines. Other than that, its slow, uneventful (except the
slapstick wrestling scenes) and just kind of strange. Its fun while
your watching it, but when its over - the end result feels unsatisfying
and lame.
Anyways - The PS3 now has motion sensitive
controllers which is pretty awesome I think.
 Alot
of people think its a gimmick - but I really think it could open up a
whole new generation of games. The PS3 debutes in November...so thats
Tenacious D fulfillment plus a new gaming console. Not a bad month. Not
a bad month at all.
Since I left for North Carolina
- Ive gotten involved in two new shows. Lost and Battlestar Galactica.
On LOST I had already seen the first season - and lost interest. But
due to overwhelmingly positive responses from the family I'm living
with - They got me to watch season 2. I got more into it than I was in
Season One.

It
was great. The second show is Battlestar Galactica which has the
lamest, nerdiest name for a sci-fi show Ive ever heard of in my
life...but the show is cool.

Its
got a crazy budget - so the CGI is almost movie quality. The characters
are kinda of one dimensional and uninteresting until your about 80%
through the first season. I know thats really late - but the results
are well worth it. Right now I'm 4 episodes into the second season and
its really cool. On a side note, the girl who plays number six is
insanely hot.

I'm roughly 86 hours into
Oblivion...as it is a addictive drug sucking the life force out of me.
But its not just me, Nathan has 98 hours and Jordan has just over 100.

That
means combined, weve literally sat in one spot and played this game for
12 solid days straight with no breaks. Its kind of sick...but so fun. I
cant stop and neither can the millions of other people who have bought
this game. Its fantastic but no ones getting anything done.
One a more interesting note, a completely BADASS
game thats coming out VERY SOON is PREY. If you have not heard of this
game...or dont know what I'm talking about...go here.
http://www.gamevideos.com/video/id/4307
Its
the most beautiful PC game I've played in a long time. I'm very
hardpressed to not say its better looking than HL2...graphics wise.

It
plays like a dream on my computer, at a smooth 85 FPS with everything
cranked and the demo is long. I played through it twice while drooling.
They once more with everyone huddled around my computer watching. It
was great. The game comes out July 12th.
My hands
hurt from typing so much. Last final note. The Honda Odyssey is a
badass car. Steak and potatoes and coke make for a good meal. Christy's
a whorebag bitch. The internet rocks. People shouldnt step on ipods.
Mowing a lawn takes technique and experience to do right. Chick-fil-A
party pack nuggets while watching The Princess Bride makes for a
suprisingly fantastic evening with any significant other - and lastly,
Superman Returns is going to be HELLA LAME. | | |

| I awake in a russik sak along side the large stone foundation of a castle wall. Rain and thunder permeate the sky, as I rise out of my slumber and begin to dress. I put on my steel gauntlets, chest plate, greaves and equipt my elven bow. I jog past various shops in the merchants market of the Imperial City. Blacksmiths, Frothy Ale pub, Sermit Tales Inn, an Alchemaic shop. The square is bustling with life, people going about their daily lives. I make my way through the monumentous wooden gates of the castles outkeep - and down a dewy trail. The sky is overcast and is streaks with hues of grey and black. The rain drizzles softly onto my armor, and I am off the beaten path and into the high grasses leading to the outskirts of the Imperial Waterfront. Ahead of me, lies a large ominous forrest that sways and bellows in the wind.
As I enter the forrest, theres a clap of thunder - and the sounds of wildlife fill the air. I am searching for a special plant called "Norstrim" which grows near water in between rocks. I need this plant for a alchemist in the Imperial City who wishes to cure a woman who has fallen ill to a vicous disease. As I walk past the molding trees, and wet moss - I see a deer drinking meagerly from a small pond. I immediately silence myself and crouch behind a tree. Making myself ready, I slide a steel toe arrow from my quiver and draw it in my bow's grasp. I line up my shot carefully, and exhale. The deer continues to drink from the pond, unaware. I release and the deers body shudders sideways from the hit and falls over, landing half in the pond. I walk to fallen animal and take back the pertruding arrow that sticks up from its ribcage.
In town, I am able to get 20 gold pieces for the strips of venison that I carved from the deer's flesh. I immediately walk to the Frothy Ale pub across the cobblestone street and open its hulking wooden door. Inside, the dark bar teems with life. Candles probe the darkness with flickering golden shadows that dance along the walls and across people's faces. Ogers chat with humans, Elves chat with Bretons. I walk across the pub's many tables and sit at the bar. One order of potatoes, onions and ham go well with a few frosty mugs of mead - and I am off again outside of the pub. Its getting late so I decide I need to rest - in order to meditate on the skills I have learned thus far. I walk through the Elven Gardens within the Imperial Cities cloister and come across an affordable Inn. After a nice chat with the hostess inside, I make my way upstairs past the occupied rooms. To my left is another door that is locked. Using a lockpick, I infiltrate the next room and find a small ladder leading up a wall.
This ladder takes me to the Attic of the Inn. I undress, and holster my bow - deciding to get a good nights rest under the stars. I lay down in another russik sak, and look up at the twinkling sky through the crack in the damaged roof above me. The stars blanket the sky like a sea of diamonds, shading the waning moon from its westward movement. Alone with my thoughts, I begin to wonder of my adventures in Kvatch. I have not been yet, but I hear of attacks on the city. Perhaps I will awake at dawn, and ride there to assist in the fight. Or perhaps, I may use that opportunity of distraction to break into a few homes to steal some items of value. Ongar is always looking for more hot material. I close my eyes, and fall to sleep - ready for a new day in Oblivion.
